Patients with monoclonal gammopathies either benign or malignant may develop inflammatory symptoms such as Schnitzler syndrome. We proposed to name those cases as monoclonal gammopathy of inflammatory significance, or MGIS. The aim of the study is to search for inflammatory pathway that may be activated in case MGIS and to search if the genetic of tumoral cell could explain those activations.
The objective of this exploratory study is to evaluate, for the first time, the sensitivity of 18F-Fludarabine to the initial diagnosis of MM compared to FDG-PET and MRI. The interest of this molecule will also be investigated as part of the end-of-treatment therapeutic evaluation.
In this research, we will evaluate the feasibility of following by remote monitoring, using a connected scale, in hematology patients suffering from myeloma or lymphoma and requiring treatment with chemotherapy. 30 patients will be included in the research and will all use a connected scale for the duration of their participation (7 weeks +/- 1 week). During their participation, patients will be asked to weigh themselves once a day, ideally at a set time. Patient data will be accessible by the medical team via a remote monitoring platform. Alerts will be generated in the event of abnormal development of certain clinical parameters ...
Historically, participation in clinical trials has been highly skewed towards specific demographic groups. However, research identifying which trial attributes impact participation, in either positive or negative ways, is limited. This study invites participants to record a wide range of data on their clinical trial experience, with the goal being to identify factors which persistently limit patients' ability to participate in, or complete, a trial in which they were initially interested. Data will be analyzed through a range of demographic lenses, in hopes of discovering patterns which might improve the experience of future...
In the Netherlands, the standard treatment for multiple myeloma is a combination of different medicines named daratumumab-lenalidomide-dexamethasone, abbreviated as Dara-Rd. In many patients this treatment results in suppressing the disease for a long time. The treatment is continued until it is not effective anymore and the disease progresses. But until now it is unknown whether continuous therapy also leads to prolonging life. In addition, there are concerns about side effects, leading to a reduced quality of life, the development of severe toxicity that remains, which hampers subsequent therapy, and high costs due to prolonged...
This trial is an adaptive platform trial. The structure of the protocol allows the trial to evolve over time. Multiple investigational arms will be included within the trial under a Master Protocol (MP). These investigational arms may be added as appendices at different times depending on whether they are trial-ready and whether accrual in the trial will support another arm. Accrual to an arm will terminate in accord with the arm's appendix to the Master Protocol. The purpose of this proposed structure is to support the recurrent research challenge of efficiently evaluating what is the best therapy for a particular patient.
This study if for people who have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and their doctors are recommending radiation to help treat it. Typically, radiation consists of 2-3 weeks of external beam radiation therapy. Doctors leading this study would like to see if a shorter radiation course (i.e., hypofractionation) for pelvic radiation is safe for multiple myeloma. Because participants in this study will receive a shortened radiation course, each daily treatment dose that is delivered would be slightly higher than normal. This higher daily dose would be delivered because the study team would like to see if higher doses of radiation are ...
This is a multicenter, phase II, national, and open-label study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two different combinations, iberdomide-dexamethasone (IBERDEX) and iberdomide-dexamethasone in combination with daratumumab (IBERDARADEX) in transplant ineligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) patients. It will be ensured that at least 30% of the patients are frail in order to evaluate the feasibility of these combinations in this special population. Patients will receive treatment with either iberdomide + dexamethasone (IBERDEX) or iberdomide + daratumumab + dexamethasone (IBERDARADEX), until unacceptable toxicity,...
This project proposes to adapt monthly the existing ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) MONITOR program for elderly myeloma patients. This adaptation aims to detect earlier functional decline and prevent loss of autonomy.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Linvoseltamab therapy in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma will convert the disease status from minimal residual disease (MRD)-positive to MRD-negative, and increase the length of time that the disease is controlled. The researchers also want to find out the effects (good and bad) that Linvoseltamab has on participants and the condition.
