This is a multicenter, phase II, national, and open-label study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two different combinations, iberdomide-dexamethasone (IBERDEX) and iberdomide-dexamethasone in combination with daratumumab (IBERDARADEX) in transplant ineligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) patients. It will be ensured that at least 30% of the patients are frail in order to evaluate the feasibility of these combinations in this special population. Patients will receive treatment with either iberdomide + dexamethasone (IBERDEX) or iberdomide + daratumumab + dexamethasone (IBERDARADEX), until unacceptable toxicity,...
This project proposes to adapt monthly the existing ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) MONITOR program for elderly myeloma patients. This adaptation aims to detect earlier functional decline and prevent loss of autonomy.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Linvoseltamab therapy in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma will convert the disease status from minimal residual disease (MRD)-positive to MRD-negative, and increase the length of time that the disease is controlled. The researchers also want to find out the effects (good and bad) that Linvoseltamab has on participants and the condition.
Hematological malignancies gather several various pathologies included myeloproliferative disorders (as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or chronic myeloid leukemia (CML)) and lymphoproliferative disorders (as chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM)) . Over the last decade, the treatments have evolved significantly but the overall survival remains limited, especially for the AML and MM patients. There's an ongoing imperative to continue in-vitro and in-vivo studies to better evaluate the anti-cancer drugs sensitivity and therefore improving the response to treatments and open new fields of...
The main goal of this phase II study is to evaluate the overall response rate of isatuximab, belantamab mafodotin, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone in relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma. The study drugs provided for research purposes are isatuximab and belantamab mafodotin.
This study is examining one-time injection of biosimilar pegfilgrastim compared with multiple injection biosimilar filgrastim post autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Study aims to compare biosimilar pegfilgrastim - LaPelga and biosimilar filgrastim -Gastrofil to see if they are similar in efficacy in terms of neutrophil engraftment, limited adverse effects, and more convenience to our patients, with potential cost savings.
The purpose of this study is to learn about the impact that the services and programs provided by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society have among patients with blood cancer, such as access to care, quality of life, and financial burden.
Rationale: In 2020, 115,000 Dutch patients were diagnosed with cancer. Up to 85% of patients treated with radiotherapy involving the head and neck, chemotherapy or stem-celltransplantation (SCT) suffer from taste disorders (dysgeusia). Dysgeusia is one of the most distressing adverse effects of cancer therapy, may be long-lasting and may contribute to malnutrition and decreased QoL. Dysgeusia pathobiology is complex and relates to direct damage to taste buds by anticancer therapies, neuropathy and/or mucosal infection and inflammation. Hyposalivation and concurrent medications may also play a role as well as smoking and poor oral...
Research question: Is KRd therapy effective and safe in the real-world Asian patients? Primay objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of KRd in RRMM patients Secondary objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of investigational treatment strategy by - PFS difference according to the high-risk disease subgroups and previous treatment - OS - Overall response rate and clinical benefit rate - Duration of response To evaluate the safety and tolerability of KRd in RRMM patients
This research is being done to test whether the investigational drug marizomib is safe and effective when used in combination with standard of care drugs for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
