This will be a 2 year study to evaluate and improve cancer sequencing as applied to the characterization of tumor molecular make-up and the identification of novel therapeutics (n=100). Participants who will undergo tumor biopsy for management of multiple myeloma (MM) will self-refer to the study or be referred by their treating physician. Participants will initially meet with a clinician to review study consents and provide medical, medication, and family history information. After informed consent, biospecimen samples from peripheral blood, cheek swab, and tumor samples from bone marrow (aspirate and biopsy), peripheral blood, or...
The primary purpose of this study is to see if individuals with Multiple Myeloma are able and interested in taking part in a tailored exercise program while undergoing their chemotherapy prior to a stem cell transplant. We also hope to learn if this type of program, along with a flexible delivery format (in-person and virtual), helps in maintaining or improving physical fitness, muscle mass and strength, and quality of life during chemotherapy.
CXCR4 is type of receptor that has been detected in more than twenty different subtypes of cancers. Most of these cancers are associated with negative symptoms that worsen over time resulting in great disability and poor function. There is a need for novel tracers to image CXCR4-expressing tumors for better detection, staging, and monitoring of aggressive cancers without the need for invasive biopsy procedures that may not always properly capture the extent of a patient's disease. This study looks to assess the safety and efficacy of a novel radiopharmaceutical known as 18F-BL40 through its use in a PET/CT scan. Participants will...
To learn if giving elranatamab before and after an autologous stem cell transplant (ASTC) can help to control newly diagnosed, high-risk MM. An ASTC is a type of transplant in which a person's own stem cells are collected, preserved, and returned to them.
Single-Arm phase 2 trial evaluating efficacy of incorporating Daratumumab to treatment of newly diagnosed primary plasma cell leukemia. Treatment will be based on Dara-VRd induction followed by first ASCT, Dara-VRd for first consolidation, second ASCT, Dara-VRd for 1 year as second consolidation and Lenalidomide for 1 year.
Prognostic value of 'CD200' in hematological malignancies Hematological malignancies comprise a group of malignant clonal disorders arising from the hematopoietic tissues , including leukemia , multiple myeloma , and lymphoma , and they have a high morbidity and mortality
Return to work (RTW) of patients after cancer treatment has been a topic of growing interest for the past two decades. Advances in cancer care have led to better patient survival, with some cancers considered as chronic or even cured diseases. The return of patients to their "pre-cancer life" can thus become an objective. Indeed, RTW after cancer is associated with improved quality of life for patients in several studies (improved financial status, improved social contacts, return of functional abilities and improved self-esteem). However, many difficulties can interfere with RTW. Many factors have been identified: disease, treatment, ...
The goal of this observational study is to learn about antithrombotic regimens in Multiple myeloma patients. The main question it aims to answer is the efficacy of different types of thromboprophylaxis (antiplatelet agents, heparins, oral anticoagulants) in preventing venous thromboembolism (VTE).
This is a single-arm, prospective, non-interventional, real-world study to observe and evaluate the efficacy and safety of selinexor in combination with daratumumab and dexamethasone in patients with multiple myeloma at first relapse.
The goal of this observational study is to register hematologic patients with haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (haploHSCT). The main questions it aims to answer are: - 1-year progression free survival rate - 1-year overall survival rate - Graft-versus-host free relapsed free survival at 30-day, 100-day, 180-day and 1-year - Chronic Graft-versus-host free relapsed free survival at 180-day and 1-year - Rate of Neutrophil and platelet engraftment - Efficacy of donor specific antibody desensitization - Relapsed rate - Primary and late graft failure ...
