Currently, daratumumab, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone are given continuously (non-stop). Some recent observations suggest that stopping daratumumab after about a year and a half of treatment may work just as well as giving it continuously with lenalidomide and dexamethasone. This study is being done to answer the question: is less daratumumab treatment as good as more?
Comparison between image findings at aminoacid PET/CT and FDG PET/CT for myeloma patients
This is an exploratory study to determine the prevalence of fluoroquinolone resistance in patients receiving dose-intense melphalan with autologous peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) transplantation in the treatment of multiple myeloma (MM). These data may be used in subsequent studies exploring the use of prophylaxis in this patient population.
Actually very few real life data are available for patients with multiple myeloma (MM), whereas they're playing a more and more important role in health care decisions. Treatments choice for medical care of patient with MM depends of their age, their general status, their eligibility to high dose treatment (autograft), and also based on cytogenetic risk (standard/high risk). Therapeutic strategies are multiple and based on drugs associations including proteasome inhibitors, immuno-modulators and monoclonal antibodies. Therapeutic medical care objective is to improve quality and response duration through more effective induction...
A pilot study to assess the risk of progression after stopping post-autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) maintenance therapy in Minimal Residual Disease (MRD)-negative MM patients.
This is a Phase I dose-finding study of FT576 as monotherapy and in combination with the monoclonal antibody daratumumab in multiple myeloma (MM). The study will consist of a dose-escalation stage and an expansion stage.
The study of splenomegaly, and the follow-up of splenectomized patients, is one of the causes of referral of these patients to pediatric gastroenterology and oncohematology clinics, and adult internal medicine and hematology. The study and management of splenomegaly is well described among the different medical specialties to which these patients arrive. After the application of the different algorithms and the different studies that are carried out, these splenomegaly are identified as being of hepatic, infectious, inflammatory, congestive, hematological origin and primary causes. Despite these studies of splenomegaly, approximately ...
The drug that will be investigated in the study is an antibody, GEN3014. Since this is the first study of GEN3014 in humans, the main purpose is to evaluate safety. Besides safety, the study will determine the recommended GEN3014 dose to be tested in a larger group of participants and assess preliminary clinical activity of GEN3014. GEN3014 will be studied in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (also known as RRMM) and other blood cancers. The study consists of 3 parts: 1. The Dose Escalation will test increasing doses of GEN3014 to find a safe dose level to be tested in the other two parts. 2. Expansion Part...
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects and best dose of MUC1-activated T cells in treating patients with multiple myeloma that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory) and is positive for expression of the MUC1 protein. T-cells are infection fighting blood cells that can kill cancer cells. MUC1-activated T-cells are made from the body's own T cells. The manufactured T-cells are made to target the MUC1 genetic marker and may help the body's immune system identify and kill cancer cells.
This clinical trial compares the effectiveness of geriatric assessment (GA) guided interventions to accelerate functional recovery after chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy compared to standard of care (SOC) in patients 60 years and older with B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) or multiple myeloma (MM). A large number of patients diagnosed with cancer are over the age of 60, yet most cancer treatments are developed for younger patients. Therefore, older patients may be less likely to be offered stronger treatments, such as CAR-T therapy, due to possible side effects. Geriatric assessment is a multi-dimensional health...
