This research is being done to test whether the investigational drug marizomib is safe and effective when used in combination with standard of care drugs for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
The purpose of this study is to determine if this specific Mycobiome Supporting Diet (MSD diet) can help reduce gut inflammation during post-transplant period. The MSD is an special diet which will be explained in detail by a dietician that works by supporting the body's good gut bacteria and fungi.
This is a Phase III open-label, 3-arm, parallel, randomized, controlled trial. The allocation ratio 1:1:1 and outcome assessment are blind to group allocation. Patients will be randomized from 3 arms. Patients will receive VRD extended + ASCT plus ERI or Isatuximab-VRD + ASCT or Isatuximab-VID + ASCT.
This is a retrospective/prospective observational study evaluating the efficacy and safety of Belantamab Mafotidin as a single agent in patients with Multiple Myeloma Relapse/Refractory (MMRR) treated in clinical pratice under compassionate use
The current cytogenetic characterization of Multiple Myeloma (including chromosome and gene abnormalities identification in abnormal plasma cells) encounters some limitations. Indeed current techniques only enable to analyze a limited numbers of predefined abnormalities. New tools that will allow for characterization of abnormalities involved in multiple myeloma development are thus required. The interest of Optical Genome Mapping has already been demonstrated in other hematological diseases. The present study aims at validating Optical Genome Mapping in genetic abnormalities identification for patients with Multiple Myeloma (MM).
The purpose of this study is to understand the safety and estimate the efficacy of combining anti-CD3 x anti-SLAMF7 bispecific antibody armed activated T cells (SLAMF7 BATs/CS1 BATs) for patients with relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma. Patients receive 4 weekly doses and then 4 more doses every 2 weeks of SLAMF7 BATs by intravenous infusion. If patients have at least stable disease after these infusions, then they may receive additional infusions every 4 weeks up to a maximum of 21 infusions (including the initial 8 infusions).
To learn if isatuximab can help to control highrisk MM when given in combination with lenalidomide after an autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT).
The goal of this research study is to investigate whether a virtual, home-based, prehabilitation aerobic and resistance exercise (PARE) training program implemented 8 weeks prior to receiving autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) for multiple myeloma participants will improve muscular strength, physical capacity, patient reported outcomes, and cardiometabolic health outcomes. The names of the study interventions involved in this study are: - Prehabilitative aerobic and resistance exercise (PARE) (virtually supervised 8-week aerobic and resistance exercise program) - Waitlist control (8-week normal activity...
This is a pilot feasibility trial among older adults (≥60y) scheduled to undergo Autologous Stem Cell transplantation at UAB. Participants will be randomized into either a prehabilitation program or an attention control group before their transplant. The primary outcomes will be feasibility and secondary outcomes include changes in physical function at the time of transplant and at 12 weeks follow up.
Single-Arm phase 2 trial evaluating efficacy of incorporating Daratumumab to treatment of newly diagnosed primary plasma cell leukemia. Treatment will be based on Dara-VRd induction followed by first ASCT, Dara-VRd for first consolidation, second ASCT, Dara-VRd for 1 year as second consolidation and Lenalidomide for 1 year.
